Name: Oum Rokba
Location: Morocco
Type: Olivine Bronzite Chondrite H5
Mike Farmer bought this meteorite in Africa, in September of 2000, and it was just classified by UCLA. This meteorite was comprised of several hundred complete stones, with a total weight of around 100 kilos! This meteorite was found by a Berber native turned meteorite hunter a few kilometers from an Oasis named Oum Rokba. This means "Old womans knee" in Arabic! How the oasis got that name is beyond me.
Name cannot be found in the Meteoritical Society Bulletin database.
